1. What you know.
To be an influential lecturer requires practice. Do this as often as possible.
2. Listening.
It’s solely as valuable as asking questions. Sometimes listening to the sound of our own voice can teach us after time to say the things we believe in with conviction.
3. Humility
We all make errors, and now and again we mispronounce particular words. Be humble about it and acknowledge your errors. It allows you to be “human” and accept yourself better.
4. Eye Contact
There’s is alot in saying that you should be directing your attention to your audience with your eyes. It’s imperative to keep your focus on the discussion and distractions.
5. Kidding around
A little trace of jesting can perform wonders to ease the tension, or worse boredom on what your speaking on. You’ll engage the attention of your audience much more.
6. Fit In
Interaction is about connecting with others. You’ll get a plethora of ideas and expand your critical assumptions of them.
7. Me, Myself, and I
There are times when you speak to yourself. Listening to your voice while practicing a speech can assist in fixing the rough areas of your pitch. And while you’re doing it you can spruce it up as well.
8. With a smile
A smile says it all. There’s thumbs down top on grimacing or frowning in a assembly or a gathering. You’re as bright as your smile.
9. A Role Model
There should be one or two individuals in your life who have influenced you in some way. Recall the way they spoke to you and use this as a catalyst in your communication with others.
10. Preparation
Take the time to prepare your words and make them effective. Write down your speech and practice it over until it feels right. Be comfortable and be relaxed.
